What Pensacola animals chew electric wires?

There are a whole bunch of Pensacola animals that will chew on electric wires as well as anything else they can get their teeth into, the most common and obvious electric wire chewers have to be rodents whose front teeth grow continuously, so they have to chew continuously to keep the teeth in check. The two biggest dangers to electrical wiring have to be squirrels and rats because both these species are big enough and strong enough to bite right through most electrical cables and of course they have no concept of just how dangerous that can be, both of them, their families and the building and everyone else living in it.

Two of the most common hazards caused by Florida animals chewing electrical wires are first of all it can create a fire hazard, if an animal chews through an electrical wire and that wire then touches a wooden beam the beam can catch fire which will then spread throughout the roof and down into the house. Nearly all fire departments agree that fires that start in the roofs of houses generally destroy the whole building as they are well alight before anyone even notices the house is on fire. A house fire or building fire can of course be deadly to everything that lives in the building.

The second most common result of a Pensacola animal chewing electrical wires is a short circuit, this will usually mean part of the house will lose power to either some of the lights or some of the power outlets, many electricians say they get calls with the homeowners saying that they have no lights in up to half the house. These days another thing that animals can choose through is the wiring on the houses alarm system, once the wiring is damaged it is very difficult to shut down the alarm system which can be very loud and drive the neighbors crazy as well as driving the residents out of the house.

Also in a lot of modern houses with the upstairs bathrooms and toilets Florida animals can chew through the PVC pipes that are used to bring water upstairs, as you can imagine having a burst water pipe in your roof is not going to help the building's structural integrity. The animals usually choose through electrical wires by encountering them as the wires cross the beams, the animal has no idea the wire is any different to the beam, it just keeps chewing regardless, and this is also why a lot of animals who chew electrical wires get electrocuted.
